Crocheted Flowers

This week I am on a search for crocheted flower patterns. I have started making crocheted hats again and I've also been making headbands. They are begging...lol...for some flowers to dress them up!
I will be posting the best links for flowers....enjoy!!

March 22, 2011

I haven't been in much a mood to do any crafting lately...crocheting, knitting, sewing, crafts etc.The weather is starting to be really nice and I've been staying outdoors as much as possible.
I do crafts with the Elders (Residents) in the nursing home where I work as a Recreational Activities Leader. Mostly coloring, cutting and pasting and some watercolors. I do the cutting because I'm not really confident about handing over sharp scissors. We have a lot of Elders with behavior/psyhc. problems. I'm trying to find some creative ideas to get them more interested in crafts. Also we have Popcorn Socials, Bingo games and different types of outings. I'm looking for crafts that aren't very expensive since a lot of the supplies comes out of my pocket.
One of the reasons I haven't been doing a lot of crafts at home is because I don't have a "area" just for that....I have projects going in several places in my home. We have a small storage building behind the house that I am going to de-clutter/trash/donate/yard sale/freecycle into being my own little Crafting Cottage. It doesn't have any electricity right now but hubby is very handy that way....
I'm on Vacation this week. Just staying at home and taking it easy. Right now I'm sitting under the trees near our pond, enjoying the breezes, the birds singing and watching the geese lazily gliding across the water. The only trouble with vacations is that by the time you are de-stressed and relaxed it's time to go back and the workday chaos hit you again on Monday morning.
Next time I think I will ask for that Monday off and return to work on a Tuesday....
Think that will make a difference??
